This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Test Engineer in Latin America.

As a Senior Software Test Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software solutions across cloud and desktop environments. You will design, develop, and execute both manual and automated tests, contributing to robust software delivery processes. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will help define testing strategies, improve test automation frameworks, and provide actionable insights to optimize code and system performance. This role offers the opportunity to lead quality initiatives, mentor team members, and influence the evolution of testing practices in a collaborative and innovative environment. You will be part of a fully remote LATAM team with a strong culture of autonomy, open communication, and professional growth.

Accountabilities

Your key responsibilities will include :

  • Evaluate acceptance criteria, determine test approaches, and execute manual and automated tests.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test frameworks for APIs and UI applications using tools like Selenium and Playwright.
  • Define and implement test automation strategies, test data management processes, and best practices for quality assurance.
  • Monitor and report metrics on test coverage, business processes, and code quality to stakeholders.
  • Conduct performance testing and provide recommendations to optimize system performance using tools such as JMeter.
  • Mentor and guide other team members on testing best practices and quality standards.
  • Recommend improvements to testing processes, technology, and interfaces to reduce technical debt and enhance efficiency.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in QA and test automation.
  • 4+ years of experience with automated testing frameworks.
  • 3+ years of experience with C#, microservices architecture, and testing RESTful APIs (Postman).
  • 3+ years of experience working with AWS.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, and performance testing tools like JMeter.
  • Advanced English proficiency for effective collaboration with international clients.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and process orientation.
  • Ability to mentor others and drive quality initiatives across teams.
